How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT?
- In Shoppego, go to Settings → General, turn MCP on and save.
- Copy your store subdomain from Settings → Custom domain and add /mcp to the end.
https://your-store.myshoppegram.com/mcp - For Claude, add a custom connector under Settings → Connectors. For ChatGPT, enable Developer mode under Settings → Security and login, then add your MCP connection from Plugins. Sign in to Shoppego and approve access to the intended store.
ChatGPT availability depends on your account and workspace policy. Available actions depend on the tools exposed by Shoppego. Review changes before using them in your live store.
Editing note: Pages and forms created through MCP cannot have their content edited through the regular builder. Continue those changes through MCP.

MCP integration questions
What is MCP for an online store?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets an AI assistant use tools provided by your store. Shoppego exposes tools for creating and managing pages, forms, themes and products.
Can I connect both Claude and ChatGPT?
Shoppego provides connection instructions for both assistants. Enable MCP in your store settings, add your store’s MCP URL to the assistant and authorise access to the correct store. Account and workspace restrictions may apply.
Can I edit AI-created pages in the page builder?
Pages and forms created through MCP cannot have their content edited through the regular builder. Continue those changes through MCP.
