GOOD TO KNOW

Payment gateway questions

How do I choose a payment gateway in Malaysia?

Start with the methods your customers use: FPX online banking, cards, e-wallets or instalments. Compare transaction fees, settlement timing, merchant eligibility and the channels available through your Shoppego integration.

Do I need an account with each provider?

Yes. Create and verify your account with the provider, then connect it in Shoppego using its setup guide. Provider subscriptions, processing fees and account approval are managed by the provider.

Can I use every payment method a provider offers?

Not automatically. Country, currency, merchant approval and the Shoppego integration determine which methods can appear at checkout. Activate the required channels and test a checkout before launch.

Which gateways can help me accept international payments?

Stripe and PayPal are options to consider for overseas customers. Confirm that your business country and settlement currency are supported, and compare international-card and currency-conversion fees.
